Harvard University Launches Menswear Line

Get your Chuck Bass on! Harvard University is launching a menswear line called Harvard Yard.

The university just signed a ten-year licensing deal with Wearwolf Group, a major clothing manufacturer. Harvard is not only doing a men’s line, but is also considering reaching out into women’s and children’s apparel. “We want to launch into those spaces as well,” said Wolf, “but we thought it best to start with a men’s collection.

‘The men’s collection features short-sleeve plaid shirts, Liberty print wovens, seersucker shorts, regimental stripes, sporty knits, patterned jackets and fancy pants — all in a contemporary, tapered fit.’

John Fowler, creative director for the line, says “it’s a style that has become current again and not just with the American consumer. We think Harvard Yard will have global appeal.” I’m sure it will be a hit with American prep fans and the Chuck Bass wannabes!

Calling all gossip girls…… D&G Resort 2010 had a bit of a Gossip Girl theme going… there were pretty little layered lace dresses in vivid pinks, while bubble-gum bouclé took the form of a charming suit, accented with white lace stockings and fuchsia accessories. So Queen B! Blair Waldorf eat your heart out. You know you love me! xoxo Gossip Girl ; )

Pastel colours with a preppy feel was the theme for Prada Resort, as Miuccia Prada infused high style with a beachy attitude. Bold prints where on the scene, and silk ties around the ankles did not go astray. Its gossip girl meets Copacabana. And its hot.

Moscot ‘Yukel’ Originals make a come back baby

Yukel. Sounds like the lyrics from something out of ‘The Sound of Music’ Yodelay, yodelay, yodel-lowYodelay, yodelay, yodel-low! But no, the ‘Yukel’ is a style of retro old school frames made by the brand Moscot that seem to be making a bit of a comeback.

These Moscot ‘Yukel’ style’ glasses are popping up everywhere! Lady GaGa sports a pair in her ‘Nothing else I can say’ video clip, and Yuki Nelly from Gossip Girl is also a fan.

Australian brand LeSpecs have released their version of the Yukel

Moscot Yukels have been around for a while (since 1915!) and as you can see are forecasted to be a bit of re-hit. I don’t know if I am a fan just yet, depends what they look like when you try them on! What do you think? Are you a fan of the Yukels?!
