Turban Style Headbands – Hot or Not?

Turban style headbands seem to be making a comeback, especially since Supre have popped out their own version for just $12 AUD. Originally inspired from Prada’s spring summer collection 07, turban headbands have been seen on the heads of celebs such as Mary-Kate Olsen and Zoe Kravitz a few seasons ago, but more recently Leighton Meester (a.k.a. Blair Waldorf) on Gossip Girl. I keep seeing these darn things everywhere, Dash, (or Will? I always get confused) sports a turban style head band on their film clip ‘out of control’, and Forever 21 has some funky turban looking head gear in their ‘Sand Blast’ look book.... Read More

Excuse me please! Did someone vomit up hot rainbow with gigantic head ribbons?! This is what Diane von Furstenberg did for her Resort 2010 collection – a collection that was fun, feisty and oh so hot, occasionally too much. It was a Rio disco on the runway! DvF cut her dresses short and sensual, some with one shoulder, and kept to a party palette of tropical hues. Polkadots were a recurring motif, rendered in oversize prints and shimmying confetti paillettes. It was a spirited Rio romp, only lacking caipirinhas and a cabana boy or two.
