‘Founded by Essie Weingarten in 1981, the modern-day beauty icon began her career by developing 12 innovative nail polish shades. Twenty-eight years and over 300 polish shades later, Essie is available in over 250,000 salons and spas in 95 countries.
Essie offers a growing line of nail colors, nail treatments, nail accessories, spa products, and lip glosses, all high-quality, on-trend beauty products.
Committed to the innovation of her brand, Essie releases new colors every season. Essie Weingarten herself still creates the colors and dreams up the quirky names that add a fun, memorable and personal touch to the whole experience.
The secret to its success? “The polishes satisfy two needs,” says Essie. “They’re classic yet fashionable. You can be a little bit more daring on some days, or more elegant on others. But the beauty is, no matter which color you choose, if your nails are done, your look is finished. It pulls everything together.”
Essie continually develops innovative products to meet the needs of consumers and salon professionals’.

WWD reports that ‘nails are aglow this season with bright, fluorescent shades and vibrant variations on cheerful Crayola colors. “It’s about getting away from that gloom and doom feeling, It’s a major shock, something that makes you feel like you’re wearing something new and exciting.”
In May, Essie launched Bright Lights, Big City – a collection of four vibrant hues ranging from tennis ball yellow to a shocking, multidimensional violet. Says Weingarten, “They put a smile on everyone’s face and that’s what it’s all about.”‘
