The Big Chop!
Snip snip! Tomorrow is the day for my ‘big chop’ i.e. time to bring back my little friend, the fringe. Recently I have been trimming my hair myself as I’m trying to grow it long, and as I haven’t had it cut in a while my little fringe, which soon turned into a pinned back quiff, and then it fitted into my pony tail, has now just blended in with the rest of my hair.

Face shapes aside, fringes are a great way to vamp up your look, you have to try getting a fringe once in your life time! (remember it always grows out!)
If you are going to get a fringe, you really have to be prepared to take the time to straighten it in the morning, or even give it a little wash. As fringes are on the forehead they can get greasy very easily, especially when exercising or in the summer months. I used to find that the rest of my hair would be fine, but then I would have this lanky fringe stuck to my forehead – not a good look. Simply, just get a cup of water and dip your fringe in, give a little shampoo and dip again for a rinse, and then blowdry. Getting the kinks out of your fringe is also important, but be careful not to over straighten otherwise you run the risk of looking like a Shetland Pony. Basically my point is, if your fringe looks like crap, the rest of your hair will too.

My main question is…. Side fringe or full on frontal?

Okay you might have noticed that the girls with the full on bangs or full fringes have poker straight hair, and the girls with the side fringes have slightly wavy and not so straight hair. Why you ask?
Its because if you have a full fringe it looks way better with straight hair! That’s why! You rarely see fluffy haired people with full on bangs, well, except for Ugly Betty.
As I have naturally wavy hair and can’t be bothered straightening my whole head in the morning, a sidey would probably suit me better. But my heart yearns for a full frontal…. Oh the decisions! I will fill you in after the big chop!

I really want a side fringe, but i’m worried it won’t suite me. I have extremly straight, long brown hair, but sometimes curl it. Dunno what to do :S
heey (: i really want a full on side fringe like ‘all the teenagers’ have. Like an emo side fringe. I already have a side fringe but i would like it more. And charliie i think you should just go for it and get one. If you don’t like it just clip it back
i have really thin, long hair but i really want a full frontal forehead fringe am worried that it will not suit me am not sure what to do,,:S,,plz help me az am totally puzzled,,what if i get it n it looks soo stupid,,:S:S
Mariam, a fringe can always grow out dont worry!! But do be careful with thin hair! I have quite thick hair and i wanna get a fringe, but does it require a lot of work? i.e. blow drying?? I thiinnk i have the wrong face shape… AHH i dunnp what to do!
Ok so i have brown hair with natural highlights and it’s quite thick and long. Thinking about getting a fringe bearing in mind that i play a lot of sport will it get in the way should i get one also worried about face shape should i shape it every day?.. HELP C:
i’ve fringe since 2005 until now. i kinda like my hair with fringe. i look ugly when the fringe start to grow long. i guess fringe suit me. i’ve done side fringe, full frontal forehead fringe, and also layered fringe. oh ya, fringe like allison iraheta.
I want to get a full on frontal fringe but not sure if it will suit me!! I have just below shoulder length dark blonde hair and it can be thick some days and thin other days! My hair is so complcated, but I still want a fringe. All my friends think it would probably suit me but im not certain : / HELP
